Deputy Casey Ogden

Blaine County Sheriffs Office

Time of Death: 4/16/2018 0210

======================================================================================

Deputy Ogden was shot to death and his body burned while following a lead he had in an investigation in the Factory District near Orchardville Avenue.

It is lead to believe that Deputy Ogden was ambushed by multiple gunmen. Upon receiving gunfire, Deputy Ogden retreated into the Factory and took cover and began calling for backup. Before backup had arrived, Deputy Ogden was shot once in the head and once in the chest. His body was then burned by the unknown gunmen. Deputy Ogden was pronounced dead on the scene at roughly 0210 on 04/16/2018.

Deputy Ogden had served as a Deputy in the Blaine County Sheriffs Office since January of 2018 and before that served as a Special Ops Lieutenant in the Los Santos Police Department.

Hearing about this, was a shock and i cannot believe this have happened.

Ogden you were a good co-worker and a friend.

You taught me some things and we had a good laugh together out in the field.

I hope that wherever you are now you'll find peace.

My condolences to your family.

Rest in Peace

I was literally on a ridealong with chief jones just 2 days ago, we ran into Ogden a couple of times that day, he was such a joyful man. It is always heart breaking when I read these articles. We at Weazel News are deeply saddened by this horrible event. Rest In Peace good sir, and may god have no mercy on the people who did this too you. My team and I will be investigating this to our best ability. - Lucky Smiths

The BCSO will keep the flags at it's stations at half mast for yet another week. The day I can finally rise it up to full mast I will be happy.

During my second ever ride along before I joined the BCSO, Deputy Ogden was kidnapped and I was incapacitated at the lumber yard. Thankfully, his kidnappers set him free and he was even nice enough to come pick me up and continue our ride along. It has been a long time since that day and I even had the pleasure of field training Ogden when he joined the BCSO again.

A member of our family has been lost to the monsters who try to destroy us every day.
Rest easy, brother.

Another brother gone in a blink of an eye. Gone but not forgotten. It's been a pleasure the short time we've spent together.

Even though he was BCSO, LSPD always felt that Casey Ogden was one of our own. He will be dearly missed, and remembered fondly by all of us in the department that had the joy of working with him. I wish it were possible we could work with him one more time. Rest well, Ogden.

Step forward now, policeman,
You've borne your burdens well.
Come walk a beat on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in hell.

Life is but a stopping place,
A pause in what’s to be,
A resting place along the road,
To sweet eternity.

We all have different journeys,
Different paths along the way,
We all were meant to learn some things,
But never meant to stay…

Our destination is a place,
Far greater than we know,
For some the journey’s quicker,
For some the journey’s slow.

But when the journey finally ends,
We’ll claim a great reward,
And find an everlasting peace.

Ogden was a great man and an amazing Deputy. I hope that somehow we can serve justice to whoever is responsible.

Rest in peace, you will be dearly missed by all of us...

It feels like yesterday we were making a mess of traffic stops and 10-90s in academy together..

It is now time to rest brother. Let me assure you and your family that the BCSO will not rest until the perpetrator has been brought to justice.

Really sad news for all LEO's. I heard the news yesterday about this and ive been waiting for some words to pop up how I feel about this. I figured today that there is no words how I feel for this. Ive been working side by side with Ogden since back in the LSPD when I joined the force. Its been fun, and sad times together with him. We have laughed together and helped each other out many times. The world is getting more dangerous everyday. First Mattis, now Ogden and Schmitz in coma. Jeez, where is this world going?

Rest in peace Ogden! You'll surely be missed. The thin blue line.

- R.Abraham - BCSO
